Reverse side has 3 screw post fasteners complete with securing nuts. The top half of the reverse side has an additional 5 screw post fasteners that are partially covered by a layer of 3 very thin pieces of what appear to be leather. At one time possibly a pouch badge. The trail on the cannon is studded with rivets. Pattern authorized in 1871.
